About Ronnie

Saint Peters, NSW Meet Ronnie 🩵 9 months old | Certified cuddle bug | Part-time Pony Meet Ronnie, a very large puppy with legs for days, a heart of gold and absolutely no idea how big he is. 😂 This goofy boy will keep you laughing with his occasional leg-related stumbles, his talent for sleeping in positions that defy physics, and his infectious enthusiasm for life. Ronnie is toilet trained, super food motivated and currently attending obedience classes to continue building his big-brain skills. He's affectionate, curious and a world-class cuddler who loves nothing more than being close to his people. But don't let his size fool you, Ronnie is still very much a puppy! He's learning how to navigate the world in his enormous body and will need a family committed to ongoing training, consistency and positive reinforcement to help him grow into the wonderful adult dog he's destined to be. My ideal home: Ronnie would love a home where he's included in everyday adventures, whether that's exploring the neighbourhood, joining you for a pub visit or simply hanging out together. A canine buddy would be a bonus, but he'd also be happy as an only dog provided he had a lot of company and social outlets. A yard to explore would be lovely, though he's shown he can do apartment life just fine as long as he gets his daily walks and enrichment. Most importantly, his family will need to understand that raising a giant puppy takes patience, commitment and a good sense of humour! My energy level: Ronnie is a lovely mix of playful and calm. A couple of walks a day, some enrichment toys and a play session will keep his mind and body happy, after which he'll happily flop down for an afternoon nap. He's already mastered the art of snoozing at your feet at the pub. He'll need ongoing training to develop his manners, impulse control and confidence as he matures, but he's food motivated and keen to learn, which gives his future family a great starting point. My suitability to children: Ronnie hasn't been tested with children, but he's loved everyone he's met so far. Given his size, enthusiasm and puppy antics, older children who are comfortable around big dogs would be the best fit. My suitability to other cats or dogs: Ronnie absolutely adores other dogs and generally respects their boundaries when they've had enough play. He'd love to say hello to every dog at the park, preferably with a polite sniff! He's untested with cats, but he's been gentle with small dogs, so a carefully managed introduction to a confident, dog-savvy cat may be possible. Things to know: Ronnie is a big, lovable work in progress. He's toilet trained and already learning his manners, but he's still a puppy in a baby horse's body, so ongoing training and guidance are essential. His future family will need to be ready to continue his education and help him become a well-mannered, confident adult. Could Ronnie be your perfect match? If you're looking for an affectionate, goofy giant who will fill your home with cuddles, laughter and the occasional furniture-related incident, Ronnie could be your guy. He's got so much love to give and a whole lot of growing up to do and with the right family behind him, he's going to be one very special dog.
