About Gazelle

Maroubra, NSW 🐶 Meet Gazelle Gazelle—also known as GiGi or Zelli—is a 4-year-old Kelpie mix with a gentle soul, a curious mind, and just the right balance of energy and calm. With her striking black coat and tan and white markings, she’s a beautiful girl—but it’s her quiet affection and thoughtful nature that really stand out. She’s the kind of dog who will softly place her head or paw on your lap when she wants a pat—no fuss, just a sweet little reminder that she’s there. ✨ About Gazelle - Loves her walks and exploring the world through her nose - Very food motivated—will do anything for chicken! - Enjoys enrichment like snuffle mats, lick mats, and Kongs - Calm and relaxed in the car—happy to sit and watch the world go by - Affectionate but not overbearing - Loves sunbaking in the backyard - Equally happy chilling on the couch or sneaking in a morning cuddle in bed She’s a smart girl who enjoys learning and engaging with her humans. 🏡 Ideal Home Gazelle would thrive in a calm, structured home that can give her the time and guidance she needs to continue building confidence. Her ideal home will have: - A quiet environment with access to a secure outdoor space - Consistent routines and boundaries - Owners committed to ongoing training - Previous dog experience - Secure fencing (she can jump!) - People who can give her time to settle and feel safe ⚡ Energy Level Medium. Gazelle enjoys: - Two solid walks a day - Training and enrichment activities But she also has a lovely off-switch—she’s more than happy to relax at home, whether that’s lounging on the couch or soaking up the sun outside. 👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Suitability for Children Not suitable for homes with children. 🐕🐈 Other Pets Dogs: Mixed responses—generally neutral (sniff and move on), but has reacted to some dogs. A meet-and-greet would be essential May be best suited as an only dog Cats: Not suitable 🧠 Training & Social Notes - Walks well on lead but may pull toward other dogs—responding well to training so far - Wary of unfamiliar people approaching to pat her, but has made great progress with structured introductions - Highly trainable thanks to her food motivation Gazelle is a beautifully balanced dog—gentle, intelligent, and quietly affectionate. She’s not demanding or over-the-top, but she forms meaningful connections with her people and thrives in the right environment. With patience, structure, and continued guidance, she’ll make a deeply loyal and rewarding companion. If you’re looking for a calm, clever dog who will share both your adventures and your quiet moments—Gazelle might just be your girl.
