Tap a question to expand
Are there cat rescues in Timaru?▼
No rescue currently lists adoptable cats in Timaru on LocalPetFinder. The nearest city with steady listings is Christchurch, about 147 km away, and this page shows those cats. Owner-rehomed cats listed in Timaru appear at the top as they come up.
How does adopting from Timaru work?▼
Choose a cat on this page and apply directly with the rescue listing it. Most rescues arrange a meet and greet at the shelter or foster home once your application is in, so plan for a trip or two toward Christchurch if the cat is not local.
Can I rehome a cat in Timaru?▼
Yes. You can list your cat free on LocalPetFinder and choose Timaru as the location. Your cat stays with you until you approve an adopter, and Timaru listings appear first on this page.
