Shanes Park, NSW Meet Cooties ❤️ Your Personal Space Invader & Professional Couch Companion! Cooties is a people-loving little character with a big affection for her humans and a serious appreciation for the finer things in life: comfy couches, cosy beds and being close enough to touch you at all times. She's a proper little lapdog who loves following her person around the house to see what's happening. In fact, she's happiest when at least one part of her body is making contact with you – a paw, a leg, her bum, whatever's available! She enjoys a cuddle on the couch, snoozing on the bed and keeping an eye on household activities. She also has a playful side and occasionally gets the toys out, particularly her favourite monkey. Cooties loves people and is always happy to approach a new face for a pat. Once she's collected her affection quota, she'll happily move along and get on with her day! Her ideal home Cooties is looking for a quiet, peaceful home in a calm suburb where she can enjoy life without the stress of encountering lots of other animals. She needs to be the only pet in the household, as she finds interactions with other dogs challenging. A home without other dogs is essential, and she has not been tested with cats. A quieter neighbourhood is particularly important, as busy streets, unexpected noises and passing dogs can be overwhelming for her. She'd love a home where she can enjoy her walks without constant activity. She adjusts quickly to new indoor spaces and environments, happily exploring and making herself at home. She can find elevators and narrow corridors a little unsettling, particularly when she can't see what's around a corner, so a home with easy access and fewer confined shared spaces would be ideal. Cooties can manage alone time, but she'll need regular toilet breaks throughout the day to avoid the occasional indoor accident. She'd also love a comfy bed of her own, although the human bed or couch is likely to become her preferred sleeping spot. Her energy level Cooties is mostly a couch potato. She's happy with a short stroll and plenty of relaxation at home, although she does occasionally enjoy a good sprint when the mood strikes. She's not looking for a marathon-running partner; she's much more interested in a comfortable home, a few little adventures and someone to snuggle up with afterwards. Her suitability to children Cooties would be best suited to a home with children aged 10 and over. She's a people-loving girl, but a calmer household with older children who understand how to interact respectfully with dogs will be the best fit for her. Her suitability to other cats or dogs Cooties needs to be the only animal in the home. She finds interactions with other dogs difficult, although she's making progress with the support.. Living with another dog would not be suitable, and she hasn't been tested with cats. She also experiences leash reactivity and will need an adopter who is committed to ongoing training and helping her feel more comfortable when out and about. This is something Maggie's Rescue will support with complimentary follow-up training sessions to help her new person build confidence and give Cooties the best chance of success. Cooties may have a few extra needs, but she's also a wonderfully affectionate little companion who has so much love to give. She's looking for someone who appreciates the quieter things in life, is happy to work with her on her training and will let her be the centre of attention. In return, she'll provide endless cuddles, a constant little shadow and the occasional opportunity to share your pillow. ❤️
