About Myrtle

Myrtle has had quite the journey here at GAWS. Arriving as an emaciated stray with poor skin and cherry eye, she has truly flourished in our care and is now a happy, healthy girl ready for her forever home. Myrtle is a mature Rotti with plenty of personality! She is confident, strong-minded and can be a little intense when meeting other dogs, so socialising has been a work in progress. However, we've discovered a lovely softer side to Myrtle and she has even made some canine friends who enjoy a good old-fashioned rough-and-tumble play! Myrtle would love to be the only dog in the home, soaking up all the TLC from her new family. She is not suited to cats or pocket pets, and with her unknown history with children, we recommend a home with kids 10+. Don't let her age fool you-Myrtle still enjoys her daily walks and has plenty of life and love to give! She is a strong girl on lead, so her new family will need to be comfortable handling her and providing realistic senior-dog care. Most of all, Myrtle is looking for someone who will give her time to settle, keep her comfortable and make her golden years truly special. Could you be the forever home she's been waiting for? ❤️
