Stitch is a handsome little fellow with the sweetest and gentlest nature. He is an inside dog who loves snuggling beside you on the lounge and, once he trusts you, he becomes your loyal little shadow. His cute little underbite adds to his charm. It has been checked by his vet and doesn’t cause him any problems. Stitch is very timid and needs time to feel safe. He would suit a patient family who can offer love, reassurance and company for most of the day. He’s happiest close to his person. Sadly, he came into rescue care due to his elderly owner passing away. He is crate trained and sleeps through the night, either settled in his crate or snuggled up with you. He is still learning to walk on a lead and is continuing with toilet training. He finds car rides stressful, but he is getting better with each trip. Stitch is finding it very difficult to learn to respond when called and follow basic commands. He needs a patient family who can give him time and continue his training with gentle, consistent guidance. Stitch is undergoing heartworm treatment and needs strict rest and care following his vet’s instructions. If you have time, patience and room for an affectionate little companion, Stitch would be the perfect addition to your family. HEALTH WAIVER: Stitch has a prominent underbite but it has been checked by the vet and is not causing any issues. Stitch is currently being treated for heartworm. This treatment is included in the adoption fee and will need to be done at an approved Lucky Paws Vet in SE QLD. We will also pay for another heartworm test in 9 months. If the dog is still heartworm positive, Lucky Paws will pay for another round of heartworm treatment at our approved Lucky Paws vet.
