About Rudy

Rudy is a clever, driven boy who is just waiting for the right person to unlock everything he has to offer. He’s an incredibly intelligent dog who absolutely thrives on training. Rudy loves learning and already knows an impressive list of commands - sit, down, paw, touch, middle, speak, and plenty more. He’s the kind of dog who genuinely enjoys working with his person, and he’ll flourish in a home that continues to invest time into his training, whether that’s obedience, trick training, or even agility. Rudy hasn’t had the best start when it comes to early socialisation, and as a result, he isn’t interested in building relationships with other dogs. He will need to be the only pet in the home. That said, he has made huge progress and is able to ignore other dogs out on walks when managed appropriately. His foster carers have put in an incredible amount of work with him, and it really shows in how far he’s come. He’s a dog who thrives on structure, routine, and clear guidance. In the right environment, with someone experienced and consistent, Rudy really shines. He loves having a job to do and being mentally engaged. Outside of training, Rudy is a great companion to have by your side. He loves the car and has been on camping trips with his foster family, he loves taking in the sights and being part of the adventure. He’s the kind of dog who will happily join you on outings and be involved in your day to day life. Rudy would be best suited to an experienced home with children aged 15+, where his needs are understood and respected. Rudy is a loyal, intelligent, and incredibly rewarding dog who just needs the right person to continue guiding him. In return, you’ll have a companion who is not only highly trainable, but deeply connected to his person and ready to take on the world by your side.
