Some dogs quietly work their way into your heart, and Barney is one of them. The sweetest, gentlest boy with a beautiful old soul, Barney hasn’t had the start to life he deserved. But since arriving, he’s come such a long way, and watching him slowly discover the world and come out of his shell has been something pretty special. Pretty much everything is a new experience for Barney. Things other dogs might take in their stride can feel a little daunting for him, so he’s looking for a quieter home with kind, patient people who’ll let him take things at his own pace. Every little step forward is a big deal for this boy, and he deserves a family who’ll celebrate those moments with him. And the love he has to give? There’s no shortage of that. Barney loves being around his people, so a home where someone is around more often than not would be his perfect fit. Some gentle reassurance, a comfy spot close by and the chance to feel safe and loved would mean the world to him.
