My litter and I came to SPCA after having a bit of a rough start to life, not experiencing much of the world. We're gaining confidence day by day, and now are looking for loving forever homes! Ready, set, meet Bolt! This gorgeous boy is named after sprinting legend Usain Bolt, and while he may have the athletic looks of a track star, he's still working on finding his confidence in the big wide world. Bolt is a very nervous boy who needs a calm, patient, and experienced home to help him learn that life can be full of good things. He may find unfamiliar people and situations a little daunting, so he'll need understanding adopters who won't push him too quickly and will celebrate the little wins along the way. Building trust will take time, but with consistency and kindness, Bolt can start to feel more comfortable and secure. When he's ready to stretch his legs and let his personality shine, Bolt would love an active home where he can enjoy playtime, enrichment, and activities that keep his clever mind occupied. His ideal family will understand the importance of balancing exercise and fun with plenty of quiet time to decompress. There's no need to sprint through the settling-in process - Bolt needs to build a solid foundation first! A confident, friendly dog already living in the home would be a fantastic bonus. Having a canine role model to follow could help Bolt feel more secure, learn household routines, and continue developing his social skills. He'll need ongoing, gentle socialisation that helps him build positive associations without overwhelming him. Bolt is looking for a quiet home with no young children and people who have solid dog experience, especially with shy or undersocialised dogs. He needs a family who can see beyond his nerves and recognise the potential in a boy who simply needs a little extra help finding his feet. Bolt does have a medical waiver, which the team can share if you'd like to know more. If you've got the patience, experience, and love to help Bolt come out of his shell, you could be just the teammate he's been waiting for. With the right support, this sweet boy might just find his stride! 🏃♂️💛
