About Simon

Simon is a handsome older ginger-and-white gentleman looking for a very special human to call his own. Simon is a boy who knows what he likes - and, truthfully, he can be a little stubborn and selective about his human friends! But when Simon chooses you, you'll know you've been chosen. Beneath that independent exterior is an incredibly sweet boy who can become a wonderfully loyal companion. Simon would love a quiet, understanding home where he can settle in at his own pace. He's the kind of cat who will happily lounge around the home, keep you company, and enjoy the comforts of a peaceful life with his favorite person. Simon does have some ongoing medical needs, including FIV, previous dental extractions, a heart murmur and more. He will need an adopter who understands that his health may require some additional care and monitoring. Because Simon has FIV, a home without other cats is preferred, particularly to keep everyone safe and minimize health concerns. His ideal person will be patient, compassionate, and willing to let Simon build trust in his own time. Simon may not be the cat who instantly runs up to everyone and asks for attention - but that's part of what makes his eventual trust so special. Give Simon time, patience and understanding, and you may just gain the sweetest, most loyal little companion. Simon is waiting for someone who will see past his quirks, accept him exactly as he is, and give this deserving older boy the loving home he deserves.
