A big goofball with the heart of a puppy! Benson is a sweet, affectionate boy who might take a little time to decide you're his kind of person, but once you're in his good books, prepare yourself for a whole lot of personality! This handsome fellow has a wonderfully playful side that really comes to life around people he knows. We're talking spinning, zooming, bouncing and generally behaving like an oversized puppy who's just discovered how much fun life can be! He's developing a love for soft toys and tug-of-war, although he'd much rather to play with his favourite humans. He's quite the affectionate fellow who enjoys pats, praise and plenty of encouragement. Benson knows how to sit, but there's still plenty of room for learning. He's got the enthusiasm, the personality and the good looks - now he just needs someone to help him put all those talents to good use! Underneath all that puppy-like enthusiasm is a sensitive boy who's still figuring out the world but with patience, reassurance and a familiar face cheering him on, he's shown that he can find his confidence. He's looking for a family who can help him continue building that confidence through positive experiences, ongoing training and plenty of encouragement. Benson must be the only dog in his new home. He's open to meeting children of any age, but his size and strength should be taken into consideration. Owners with experience with larger, stronger dogs would certainly be beneficial, but what matters most is finding people who understand that confidence takes time. Benson might be a big boy, but deep down he's just a puppy at heart, waiting for someone to show him that the world isn't quite as scary as it sometimes seems - and that soft toys, belly rubs and a good old-fashioned zoomie are definitely worth getting excited about!
