About Goose

Meet Goose, a bright and energetic dog who brings enthusiasm to everything he does. He is obsessed with toys and will happily spend his day chasing, tugging, fetching, and carrying his favourites around with pride. He absolutely loves food, which makes him extra motivated and eager to learn. Goose is also a water lover and would be thrilled with adventures that include swimming and splashing. Goose is very sweet and affectionate, forming strong bonds with his people and enjoying close companionship. He is friendly and okay with strangers, greeting new faces with curiosity and a wagging tail. His loving nature makes him a wonderful companion for a home that wants both cuddles and fun. Very smart and quick to pick things up, Goose would truly benefit from ongoing training to keep his mind sharp. He thrives when given structure, clear guidance, and positive reinforcement. Goose needs an active home that can give him plenty of physical outlets: think long runs, hikes, swims, and games of fetch. He would do best with people who have some experience with high-energy breeds and training, as his drive and intelligence need an outlet or they can turn into mischief. Goose would need to be the only pet in a home with no cats. He may be able to live with another dog, pending successful meets at the centre and with slow, sensible introductions, though any canine companion would need to match his high energy and playful drive, and be able to comfortably keep up with him. He can live with children aged 16 years and over who are confident and respectful around dogs. Goose can live with full-time workers, provided his needs are met. While he can manage being left alone for reasonable periods, he would greatly benefit from mental stimulation during this time, such as puzzle feeders, stuffed enrichment toys, or safe, long-lasting chews to keep him engaged. With the right balance of activity, enrichment, companionship, and continued learning, Goose will grow into an incredibly devoted and joyful lifelong friend. My adoption fee includes desexing, health check, microchipping, I am up-to-date with vaccinations and eligible for free lifetime registration.
