About Buddy

*Also available for foster trial!* 🏡 Buddy is looking for a quiet home in a peaceful neighbourhood where he can feel safe and settled. 🐶 Buddy needs to be the only pet in the home and will need to be walked in areas away from other dogs. 👪 Buddy would suit an adult household or a family with children aged 12+ who understand his boundaries and are committed to continuing his behaviour support. Meet Buddy, our gorgeous 6-year-old Terrier with a HUGE personality packed into a little body! Buddy is full of life, love and plenty of charm, and once he gets excited, you’ll get to see his signature happy spins. His very own party trick and one that’s guaranteed to put a smile on your face. Buddy loves getting out and about with his favourite person. Whether it’s a leisurely stroll or a brisk walk, he enjoys exploring the world and being part of the action. He’s an active little guy who will thrive with someone committed to giving him regular daily exercise, companionship and plenty of time together. Buddy does have some important needs when it comes to his environment. He is very worried and reactive around other dogs, so he needs to live in a quiet neighbourhood and be walked in areas where he is unlikely to encounter other dogs. His new family will also need to be committed to continuing his behaviour modification work, helping Buddy build confidence and feel safe in the world around him. At home, Buddy is happiest when he’s right in the middle of family life. He’s a total lap dog and loves nothing more than jumping up onto a chai, especially when his favourite human is already sitting there! His new family will need to be comfortable with Buddy sharing the furniture and being close to his people. While Buddy is an affectionate boy, he doesn’t enjoy being over-handled and needs his boundaries respected. For this reason, he would suit children aged 12 years and older who can understand and respect his cues. When left home alone, Buddy needs to remain indoors where he feels safe and secure. Buddy may be a little dog, but he certainly isn’t short on personality. He’s looking for someone who will see beyond his challenges, understand what he needs to feel safe and give him the patience, consistency and love to help him thrive. If you have: ☑️ A quiet home in a peaceful neighbourhood ☑️ No other pets ☑️ Children aged 12+ ☑️ A commitment to continuing Buddy’s behaviour modification ☑️ An active lifestyle and time for daily walks and companionship ☑️ And a love for little dogs with BIG personalities… …we’d love to hear from you. Buddy has so much love, fun and personality to give. He just needs the right person to understand him, respect his boundaries and show him that the world can be a safe and happy place. ❤️ *All of our animals are desexed, microchipped and registered before being adopted.*
