Why Harley Needs a New Home
We have another dog whose health needs have increased significantly and we feel we can no longer provide a suitable long term home for Harley. We want to ensure she finds a home that suits her physical, mental and emotional needs. She is very loving and loyal and would make a wonderful companion for the right home.

About Harley
Harley is loyal, affectionate and playful. She is intelligent and can follow commands. She is very playful and can amuse herself with toys or watching birds etc. She likes being involved with her humans doing house/yard work and she also likes swimming. She is very good with car travel and loves to look out the window. She sleeps in a covered crate at night outside. She loves humans but needs a calm and consistent owner who she can fully trust. She has had minimal interactions with children and would suit a home with either no children or older children to reduce stress and over excitement. She is reactive to other dogs, eg. Dogs barking next door or when seeing dogs on walks, but can go on leash and be redirected if not walking close to other dogs. She needs a home with no other dogs. She has very good recall off leash. She has lived with a senior cat her whole life. She appears to overheat if over excited in play for long periods or due to warmer weather. We manage this through providing water trough to cool her body and reducing amount of fetch games or other heightened activity for long periods and when it is warm. We allow her to be inside on hot days.
