About Billy

Billy is a smart, loyal boy who has been patiently waiting far too long for the right home to come along. As our longest resident, Billy has been with us since 2022. While we would love nothing more than to see him in a home, we know he has specific needs, and we’re committed to finding him the right forever home, not just any home. Billy doesn’t know life outside of the kennels, but when he gets a break and spends time in the office, you see a completely different side of him. He happily chills out on the couch, soaks up cuddles (on his terms, of course), and “helps” the admin team with their work… mostly by supervising and snoozing. At heart, Billy is a total couch potato. He loves lounging around, soaking up the sun, and being close to his people. He enjoys his rope toys and will happily entertain himself, and he also loves water, whether it’s a splash around or just cooling off on a warm day. He does enjoy getting out for walks or runs, but prefers quieter times of the day where he can explore without the hustle and bustle. Billy isn’t dog social and will need to be the only pet in the home. This is something he has worked on with our training team, and his future home will need to continue managing this and supporting him. Billy is best suited to a calm, understanding home with children 15+, secure fencing of at least 6ft, and owners who are happy for him to live indoors, especially when left alone. He would thrive with part-time workers or someone working from home, as he enjoys companionship and being part of daily life. Billy is a truly special boy. He may not be the easiest fit for every home, but for the right person, he will be an incredibly loyal, loving companion. He’s waited patiently for years, now he just needs someone willing to give him the chance he deserves.
