About Saviour

Saviour is a big, lovable goofball with a personality that’s impossible to miss. He’s the kind of dog who brings energy, fun, and a whole lot of character into every space he enters. With his wagging tail, goofy antics, and love for life, he’s always ready to make you laugh. But underneath all of that is a soft, sensitive boy who just wants to be close to his people. Saviour is a total big dog-lover’s dog. He adores human connection, thinks he’s a lap dog despite his size, and is a big sook at heart. In a home environment, we think love a more relaxed routine with couch time, cuddles, and just being near you are high on his priority list. He also has a playful side that shines, especially when water is involved. Saviour absolutely loves splashing around in clam shells and water tubs here at the kennels, and we think he’d be in his element on beach trips or anywhere he can get his paws wet. He enjoys getting out and about on bush walks with our volunteers and loves having toys to keep himself entertained. He’s a bit of a bull in a china shop at times , all enthusiasm and excitement but it’s all part of his charm, and the volunteers absolutely adore him for it. Saviour hasn’t had the best experiences with other dogs, so he will need to be the only pet in the home. He’s currently working closely with our training team and making great progress, but his ideal home will be one that understands his needs and is happy to focus on him rather than social dog settings. He would suit a home with children aged 12+, or a couple or individual looking for a loyal companion. He’s not a dog park or busy beach kind of boy, he’d much prefer quieter adventures like bush walks, followed by plenty of downtime with his people. Saviour is a handsome, affectionate, larger-than-life character who has so much love to give. In the right home, he’ll be an incredibly rewarding companion, equal parts goofy, cuddly, and completely devoted.
