Rascal is a friendly, affectionate boy who has returned to our care after 18 months in a home, bringing with him clever skills like sit, paw and recall, plus a love of cosy home comforts. He's looking for experienced owners in a cat-free home who can offer plenty of company, daily walks, mental enrichment and reward-based training to help him manage his excitement and build good manners. Rascal will thrive with patient people who respect his body language, give him breaks when handling feels overwhelming and support him with a qualified trainer as he settles into his new life. Rascal has not been socialised well with other dogs during his life, but had shown promise making appropriate doggie friends at the Refuge. He's missed out on a lot of learning and not likely to be suited to dog parks or offlead areas, but can make walking buddies and could live with a suitable doggie companion pending meets here at the Refuge. Is Rascal right for your home? What our team has learned about Rascal so far. Other dogs Still learning dog manners Is still learning how to read and greet other dogs. Cats No cats Needs a home without cats. Home and lifestyle Experienced owners Best with people who have owned dogs before. Ongoing training Will need some ongoing training and support.
