About Zorn

Zorn is a courageous cat who has made remarkable progress with his foster family. Initially a shy and hissy boy, he's now more confident. While he may still give the occasional hiss, Zorn enjoys pats-on his terms-and will happily sit beside you on a chair or even fall asleep on your knee. He loves giving nose bumps in exchange for a treat and is especially motivated by food, with his favourite pastime being play with his treat-dispensing toy. Zorn needs a very patient, quiet, and stable household, as frequent changes or a busy environment are not suitable for him. He's best suited to an experienced cat owner who will give him the time and encouragement to settle in at his own pace. He should be approached slowly and calmly and never hovered over, as he is easily startled and needs gentle handling. Zorn is not comfortable around young children and would do best in an adult-only home. He must stay indoors because he has FIV, though a secure outdoor enclosure would also be ideal. Zorn enjoys the company of other cats and would thrive in a household with a relaxed feline friend, though a slow introduction is essential to help everyone adjust. If you're looking for a gentle companion who will reward your patience with affection and loyalty, Zorn may be the perfect addition to your home. Medical Notes Zorn has tested positive for Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). FIV is a retrovirus that can compromise the immune system, spread by fighting and deep penetrating wounds. They should lead a normal life despite this diagnosis, but there are a few special considerations that need to be made in regards to their health and well-being long term. These include being an inside only cat; slow and careful introduction to other cats; and annual vaccinations and health checks. Zorn has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required. I am located with my foster family in: Balcatta.
