Destiny

Hi, I'm Destiny (or "Dee"), a petite marmalade-and-white girl with a curious and independent nature. I'm a nervous girl, but in the right home I hope to slowly expand my comfort zone and maybe even discover the joy of pats and affection. When I first arrived in foster care, I spent most of my time hiding and would only eat when nobody was around. I've come a long way since then! These days I happily sleep, play and relax out in the open, spend time near my foster carer, and like to supervise when my dinner is being prepared. If I'm feeling comfortable, I'm even happy to offer a hand sniff or a little nose boop. I'm not comfortable with pats yet, but I love having my special person nearby. I find it easier to warm up to women, so a lady friend would be perfect for me. Food is definitely one way to earn my trust! I love my wet-food dinners and being bribed with treats. Once I'm relaxed, my playful side really comes out. I like my evening zoomies and can become so absorbed in playing that I briefly forget my nerves. I also love sunny spots and watching birds through the window. My ideal home is quiet, indoor-only and with someone who is often home with me in the evenings. I'll need a safe room while I settle and someone patient and willing to let our friendship develop on my terms. I don't like dogs, and I haven't lived with another cat in foster care, so my feelings about feline housemates are still a mystery. I'm very good with my litter tray when it is kept clean, but clothes on the floor can sometimes prove a little too tempting to pee on. So a tidy housemate would be best for me. Good scratching options are also a must. If you're a calm person with a quiet home, I'll show you in time what a wonderful friend I can be. I can't wait to start my journey with a special lady who will give me the time and patience I need to flourish. Medical Notes Destiny has a heart murmur. The murmur has been assessed by Cat Haven veterinary staff as mild (grade three or less) and not likely to cause any adverse effects on their health. Destiny has a waiver for a chipped tooth. Our veterinarians have carefully assessed this chip and no further treatment is currently required. Destiny has had teeth removed because of Feline Odontoclastic Resorptive Lesions on the teeth. Destiny has a skin condition called Feline Acne or Chin Acne. It is not known what causes this skin reaction, though it is usually mild and manageable. Using stainless steel or ceramic bowls rather than plastic often assists. I am located with my foster family in Como.
