Barik

Sweet little Barik is seeking a second chance at happiness. This playful, curious, confident and loving kitty came to Cat Haven after her owner couldn't care for her any longer. Barik has been keeping her spirits up in foster and has settled in well. In fact, within 24 hours she had the run of the house and had found all the best sleeping and sunning spots. Barik is still young and enjoys playing with a wand toy and batting a ball around the house. She has quite high energy levels so a couple of short but energetic play sessions will keep her happy. A window for bird watching also gets her ek ek ekking. Barik is an expert level cuddler and will happily demand pats from you when she wants them. If you work from home be prepared to share a spot on the desk so she can snooze while you type. In the evening she enjoys curling up on the sofa next to you, on your lap, and then sharing the bed with you. She loves to be with her people. Barik is just over 18 months old and, given her energy and curiosity, may enjoy the company of another cat who she can run around with. In foster she is by herself. Barik is confident, curious and has had absolutely no problem claiming her foster home for herself. She is chatty and affectionate, as well as playful and silly. Barik is fine with touching on most of her body and doesn't have many no-go spots. She does sometimes like to use teeth gently when playing and to show affection so may not suit very small children. She hasn't shown any interest in house plants, even easy to reach ones but is interested in people food. She will watch you eat but isn't a food thief. It's worth being vigilant to that though so it doesn't develop. She loves a creamy treat and this will win her over faster than anything. Barik is located with her foster family in Osborne Park.
