Meet Angel! Angel is a clever, playful girl with plenty of personality. She is highly food motivated, enjoys playing with toys independently and already knows how to sit. Angel can take a little time to feel comfortable around unfamiliar people. Once she has built trust, she can be affectionate on her own terms. She will thrive with patient adopters who can help her form positive associations with new people and experiences while giving her the space she needs to settle in. Angel can be strong and enthusiastic on walks, and her new family will need to be comfortable managing her strength and continuing reward-based training. Encouraging calm behaviour and polite greetings and will also help her succeed. As Angel becomes more confident at home, her playful and boisterous side may shine through. Angel is best suited to an adult home or one with dog-savvy teenagers. Everyone in the household should meet her before adoption so she can begin building familiarity before moving in. A secure yard is recommended. Angel can become excited when meeting other dogs, but she is able to engage appropriately and respond to their cues. She may be suited to living with a robust male dog, subject to a successful meet and greet. Her adopters must be able to separate the dogs when needed, feed them separately and actively manage their interactions. If you are ready to invest in patient, positive training and can offer Angel a secure, enriching home, she could be a wonderfully rewarding companion.
