About Issy

Issy is a soft, cuddly girl with plenty of love to give her new family. Although only two years old, she has a slightly more mature nature than your typical young dog and, with ongoing training, consistency and time to settle, we think she'll make a wonderful companion. Issy has previously lived with a male dog and may be happy to share her home with a compatible male again, pending a successful meet and greet. She can have a little attitude towards female dogs, so interactions with them will need to be appropriately managed. Desexing may also help as she settles into her new routine. During her time at the shelter, Issy has shown some nervousness with unfamiliar activities and situations. She'll benefit from a patient family who can allow her to adjust at her own pace and continue building her confidence. Her affectionate and personable nature certainly gives her a promising future. Issy's previous experience with children is unknown, although we feel she may have the potential to do well with them. A meet and greet with any children in the household will help determine whether everyone is a good match. She has not been tested with cats. Issy is an active, affectionate young girl who is ready to put shelter life behind her and start the next chapter with a loving family of her own.
