My name is Malachite 🪨💚 Like the beautiful stone I'm named after, this gem takes time to uncover and polish. I'm a super gentle boy, and the shelter environment can feel quite overwhelming for me. I can't wait to show you the goofy young cat underneath my nerves once I'm in a home, where I can quietly settle in. Looking for someone who will respect my boundaries to build our friendship. I much rather all four paws on the ground and I'm not a huge fan of pats either - only on my terms. It may take some time to understand my mixed signals cause you will notice I like to stay close and rub against your leg, but reality is, I just want some food. Food is my favourite part of the day! My foster mum says that I don't have an 'off' switch.. So if you like to be entertained constantly by my adventurous and ridiculously cheeky personality, please keep reading 💕 Besides being happy to chill indoors only, I would also suit any home with an outdoor enclosure! As I have a lot of energy to burn, the more space, the better. I would LOVE to have a cat or dog mate in my new home, as I am used to wrestling with a Red Heeler in my foster home and they make me feel more comfortable being around them. My foster mum calls me the cat paper shredder, as no paperwork or cardboard will be safe around me. Have any private documents to destroy? I am your man! Despite my aversion to hands, I will give you years of entertainment, and if you give me a chance to prove I am just a massive goofball, I am sure we will get along just fine.
