Meet Three Legged Leo, a resilient senior tabby boy looking for a cozy place to land on his own terms. Leo's name tells a story of survival and strength. When he first arrived in our care, his leg was sadly beyond recovery, and the kindest choice for his health was an amputation. Now comfortably recovering, Leo is still adjusting to life on three paws. Because he is taking everything step by step, we are eager to make his transition into a forever home as smooth and stress-free as possible. Right now, Leo prefers his own space over constant physical affection and is content simply keeping you company from a comfortable vantage point. With a little patience, gentleness, and time, we are confident he will begin reaching out to the people he trusts. Once he feels settled, you can expect him to blossom into a classic, affectionate tabby who will gladly snuggle up with you in that wonderfully shameless, no boundaries way tabbies are famous for. Leo has also undergone some dental care during his time here at the shelter. He had both extractions and a scale and polish, so it's extremely important that his teeth stay in tip top shape, especially now that he is a senior boy. Future dental care for Leo looks like being fed good quality food, getting annual checkups at the vet and if he lets you...the occaisional brush! Because Leo is still navigating his new world on three legs, he would thrive best in a home with flat ground and no or minimal stairs to keep him safe and mobile.
