About Pud
Pud has spent the last three years knowing what it feels like to have a home. Now, this lovely little lady is hoping someone will give her that feeling again.
This beautiful mostly-white calico has been an indoor cat her whole life, so finding herself in a shelter has been quite a change. Understandably, she was a little overwhelmed when she first arrived, preferring to keep to herself while she worked out what was going on. But Pud has a sweet side waiting to shine through. She’s already started coming forward to say hello, showing us that underneath that initial shyness is a lovely girl who enjoys a little human company.
Her previous family described her as a little timid around unfamiliar people, so Pud would appreciate someone who understands that friendships don’t always happen instantly. Give her a quiet space to settle, let her approach in her own time, and allow her confidence to grow naturally. There’s something really lovely about watching a shy cat decide that you’re someone she can trust.
Pud will need to remain strictly indoors, with care taken around open doors and windows, as she’s shown some interest in exits while at the shelter. A safe, comfortable home with familiar routines and plenty of cosy places to relax will help her settle back into the life she’s used to.
At four years old, Pud still has so much love and companionship to offer. She’s not asking for anything extraordinary, just a place to feel safe, someone to be patient with her and a home she can finally call her own again.
We encourage you to come and meet Pud at our North Melbourne shelter as soon as possible, as our cats cannot be placed on hold.
