This gorgeous boy is a Kelpie-Border Collie x. “Buddy enjoys company and loves going for walks, exploring the bush and sniffing out all the smells,” staff say. “He enjoys running around tossing his toys in the air. He’ll need someone who has the time to reinforce some positive training.” As a mix of two brainy breeds, he should take to training well — he’ll also need plenty of exercise and intellectual stimulation. “Buddy will need an experienced owner who is familiar with working dogs,” staff say. “He enjoys the company of other dogs but can be a bit full-on, so a dog who could tolerate his exuberance levels would best suit.” We always advise thoughtful matchmaking with dogs of a similar temperament and play style. Buddy can get carried away with his enthusiasm for people, so until he gets some training on board he’s not suitable for a family with kids under 12 years old.
