A plea from our staff to the Great Tasmanian Public: please stop naming every second female dog Luna. Some of us are having to run off into dark corners to suck our thumbs at the very word. It’s just “Lunalunalunalunaluna” all the doggone time! The latest Luna does come with a glorious grin, which eases the ongoing trauma quite a bit. She’s a Shar Pei-Staffy x. “Luna is very affectionate, really sweet,” one of our valued volunteers says. “She's a cuddler, a leaner and a pretty good retriever of balls, dropping them at your feet. She's also an expert at making puppy dog eyes if she knows you have a treat for her.” Luna knows sit, but that seems to be it, so she might benefit from a beginner obedience course. She needs to be the only dog in her new home.
