At the time of writing, we have two Diesels at our Devonport Home, so that’s not confusing at all! Although this guy can be singled out by the fact that he’s composed of far from a single breed — we’re told he’s a Foxhound-Bloodhound-Fell Hound-Beagle-Kelpie-Husky x. Phew! That’s a lot of crosses. “Diesel loves attention and cuddles,” staff say, “and enjoys playing with his toys.” He used to live with his mum and one of his brothers, so he might like a doggy pal in his new home. We always advise thoughtful matchmaking that accounts for energy levels and play style, along with gentle introductions to potential playmates. Staff say Diesel enjoys walks, but also needs a place where he has room to run and expend some of that Hound energy. Dee can get a bit boisterous — he’s just a teenager, after all — so he’d do best in a home with robust children who also have a “teen” after their age. He’d probably benefit from training to aid in getting his excitable urges under control.
