Of all the Elvis impersonators the world has been gifted over the decades, female impressionist Elvis Herselvis has to have the best name. Our Elvis is a boy who probably has no idea he’s the king of rock ’n’ roll. He was a stray. “Elvis enjoys human attention and is described as a chilled dog who likes to follow you around,” staff say. “He’s a friendly and calm boy.” In fact, during his behaviour assessment, he decided the best plan was to sit on his assessor’s feet and lean into them. “He’s a big boy who may not realise how big he is at times — he’s friendly with kids and adults but may knock over younger kids,” staff say. He’d do best in a home with bigger children. He also needs to be the only dog in his new place. Elvis has had a lump removed and a tooth extracted in our care, so that cost has been covered. He has some basic training but a refresher course would provide a fun opportunity to tune up with his new band.
