About Thackery
Thackery is a handsome black boy who may look like a sleek little panther, but underneath that sophisticated exterior is a goofy clown with a big personality and plenty of charm. Friendly, curious, and confident, Thackery loves being involved in whatever his people are doing and is always ready for an adventure, a game, or a chat.
This playful boy thrives on attention and interaction. He loves exploring, investigating every corner of his home, and finding ways to entertain both himself and his family. Thackery can be a little mischievous at times and isn't shy about letting you know when he's hungry, bored, or simply wants some attention. His expressive nature and chatty personality make him a fun and engaging companion.
While Thackery is very affectionate and enjoys pats and companionship, he doesn't like being held and prefers to keep all four paws on the ground.
He can also become a little overexcited during play or attention sessions and may give gentle affectionate nips when he's caught up in the moment. This has been managed by redirecting his attention to toys, telling him 'no' or stopping the activity. For this reason, he's best suited to a home with people who can recognise when he's getting overstimulated and redirect his energy appropriately.
At the end of a busy day, Thackery is more than happy to curl up nearby on a fluffy blanket, soaking up pats and attention while purring contentedly away. He loves being around his people and would make a wonderful companion for a family who can provide plenty of interaction, playtime, and enrichment.
Thackery, like many cats is particularly fastidious (clean) and may toilet outside the tray if it has been used already that day. He also has a preference for clay litter. Providing multiple trays (at least 2 x) with clay litter prevented him from toileting outside the tray.
Because of his energetic and sometimes overenthusiastic nature, Thackery is not suitable for a home with children.
Thackery is a delightful mix of affection, confidence, and fun, and he's ready to find a home that will appreciate his playful personality and big heart.
Thackery is desexed, microchipped and toilet trained. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date.
