Mavis

Mavis is a beautiful black and white lady with a gentle nature and a loving heart. She can be a little timid when first meeting new people or settling into a new environment, but she warms up quickly and soon reveals her wonderfully smoochy personality. Once comfortable, Mavis absolutely loves attention and affection from her favourite people. She enjoys pats, company, and being part of the family, making her a lovely companion for a home looking for a sweet and affectionate cat. She has also lived happily with older children and resident cats in foster care, showing she can enjoy sharing her home with respectful companions. Mavis arrived at the centre with dental disease and has since had dental surgery, including a dental clean and extraction of diseased teeth. To help maintain her dental health, annual veterinary dental checks are recommended, and a dental diet such as Hill's T/D may be beneficial. Mavis also has a history of Flea Allergy Dermatitis (FAD), meaning she can be very sensitive to flea bites. This condition is well managed with strict year-round flea prevention, and she is currently receiving Revolution every four weeks. Maintaining regular flea prevention will be important for her ongoing comfort. When Mavis arrived in care, she had some fur loss around her eyes. This has remained unchanged during her time with us and does not cause her any discomfort. While the exact cause is unknown, regular veterinary check-ups are recommended to monitor the area. Sweet, gentle, and full of affection, Mavis is looking for a loving home where she can settle in, build her confidence, and enjoy life as a cherished member of the family. Mavis is desexed, microchipped and toilet trained. Vaccinations, flea and worm treatments are up to date. 12 Selfs Point Road New Town 7008 | PO Box 309 Lenah Valley 7008 6278 2111 | [email protected] We feed and recommend: Hill’s Pet Nutrition is a proud supporter of Ten Lives
