About Louie

Louie is a beautiful, 7 year old, Male, White Maltese Cross. He is a gentle soul and will make a beautiful companion to someone looking for a cuddly and affectionate boy. He just needs that special someone to go out for short walks with and curl up on the couch with when he gets home. He loves car rides sitting quietly watching the view. His specialty is chasing flies. He rarely misses one. He is a little timid to begin with but once he gets to know you he will be your best friend. He is very affectionate. He will sleep in his own bed but given a choice he does prefer yours. He really enjoys his walks and walks nicely on a lead. He is fine when meeting new people but can be frightened by other dogs. We are working on building his confidence in that area but at the moment he would be best suited to a home where he is the only pet. He loves being with his humans. He behaves very well when left alone. He is probably better suited to a family with older children as he is a little jumpy and could frighten very young children. Louie would suit a reasonably quiet and patient home where he can be given lots of attention, and share his love affection and loyalty with his special person. He’ll make a fun, protective, and loving best friend, with lots of cuddles to give. He is untested with cats. He loves his food but does have a tendency to resource guard by growling when eating his food. Louie is toilet trained and can sit on command. Louie has been desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, and flea and worm treated. With an adoption fee of $500, he is currently living with his foster family in Flinders Park.
