About Pickles

Meet Pickles F1005 *** BONDED PAIR *** I'm a 3 year old black Pomeranian, although currently I'm rocking a hairstyle that can only be described as freshly plucked chicken. More on that absolute travesty later. First things first. I'm small. Like, really small. Pocket-sized, some might say. My foster mum keeps saying she wishes she could put me in a handbag and carry me around all day. Lady, I am a DOG, not a tube of lipstick. Have some respect. But don't let my size fool you, hoomans. What I lack in height, I make up for in personality. I've got enough love in this tiny body to fill a stadium, and I intend to distribute it generously to every hooman I meet. I absolutely adore my hoomans. Big ones, little ones, old ones, young ones…you're all pretty fabulous in my books. Although, if the little hoomans get too loud or boisterous, I might have a little cower. I'm a sensitive soul, okay? Don't judge me. I'm a professional cuddler, an enthusiastic toy enthusiast and a self-appointed passenger princess. Walkies? YES PLEASE. Car rides? SHOTGUN! Snuggling in bed with my foster mum? Mate, I've already claimed my spot. Don't even think about moving me. I'm a pretty happy-go-lucky little dude who just wants to be loved, included and preferably treated like the royalty I clearly am. Now, my foster mum has these strange creatures living in her house. Apparently they're called cats. Personally, I think they're defective dogs. They make weird noises, hiss at me and have absolutely no respect for personal space. Zero stars. Would not recommend. So I'd really prefer a home without them, thanks. Other actual dogs? Yeah, we're cool. As long as they understand that being the smallest doesn't mean I'm not important. Now, here's the deal. I have a big brother named Toast (F1006). He's a 4 year old orange sable Pomeranian, and he's my best mate, my partner in crime and occasionally my personal bodyguard. Not that I've asked him to be. He just likes being involved in absolutely everything. Toast and I are what the hoomans call a bonded pair. Basically, we're a two-for-one deal, except neither of us is the free item. We're both premium merchandise, thank you very much. We MUST be adopted together. I love my big bro and he loves me. We're a team, a duo, a couple of tiny troublemakers with enormous hearts. Separating us simply isn't an option. Now, about my current appearance... Once upon a time, I had magnificent hair. Glorious, flowing Pomeranian locks. The kind of hair that would make a shampoo commercial jealous. Unfortunately, despite being very loved by our previous hoomans, my coat wasn't properly maintained and I ended up with so many dreadlocks I could have headlined a reggae festival. My matting was so severe that the groomer had to shave me right back. And when I say right back, I mean RIGHT BACK. I'm basically a naked mole rat with a Pomeranian face. To make matters worse, the tight matting has caused alopecia, which means my hair may take a while to grow back and could initially be pretty patchy. The doggie doctor says I'll need protection from the sun and a little jumper when it's cold. So yes, I'm currently a little follically challenged. But beauty comes from within, darling, and my personality is absolutely GORGEOUS. My new hoomans will need to understand that Toast and I require regular professional grooming and almost daily brushing once our coats grow back. And look, I'm not going to lie, we're not exactly fans of the brush. We've been through some pretty unpleasant grooming experiences, so patience, kindness and lots of positive encouragement will be essential. Oh, and one more thing. We're Pomeranians. Small dogs. Big voices. We occasionally feel the need to announce things to the neighbourhood. A leaf blowing past? SECURITY ALERT. Someone at the door? INTRUDER! A suspicious noise? I'M ON IT. Our new hoomans will need to appreciate our natural talent for neighbourhood surveillance. So, to summarise our requirements… • Great with kids, although I prefer the little ones not to be too boisterous • Great with other dogs • No cats please! • Committed to regular professional grooming and coat maintenance • Patient, loving hoomans who understand that little dogs can have mighty voices • MUST adopt my big brother Toast with me ❤️ We're both desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and parasite treated. Our adoption fee is $1000 for BOTH of us. That's right. Two magnificent Pomeranians for one adoption fee. Frankly, I think we're underpriced, but apparently I'm not allowed to negotiate with the rescue. Located in Murray Bridge. Peace, love and pickles. Ready to welcome us into your life?
