💖SMOKEY 💖 🐾Smokey is a sweet, sensitive girl who is slowly learning that the world isn't such a scary place. She has made amazing progress in foster care and is showing more of her personality as her confidence grows. Once she feels comfortable and comes out of her shell, Smokey is full of energy and has the biggest smile on her face! She loves playing fetch, spending time with her trusted people. She is a very affectionate girl who loves having someone she can trust by her side.🐾 🐾Smokey is a sensitive soul who needs a patient and understanding home that will allow her to settle in at her own pace. New people, environments and unfamiliar objects can be overwhelming for her, so gentle introductions, positive reinforcement and allowing her to approach things when she feels ready are important. She thrives on routine and knowing what to expect, making a quiet, predictable home ideal for her. Although she can be fearful in unfamiliar situations, she has shown that with time, patience and reassurance, she can build confidence and bounce back from things that once frightened her.🐾 🐾Once settled, Smokey will need plenty of exercise, playtime and enrichment to keep her happy, as she has lots of energy once her personality starts to shine! She would suit a family who can balance her need for a calm, safe environment with opportunities to explore, play and keep her mind busy. Smokey could potentially live with another dog, but a meet and greet with any resident dog is mandatory to ensure they are a suitable match. With the right home, routine and understanding, Smokey has so much potential to continue growing into a confident, happy and loving companion.🐾
