Meet Benji, a sweet little poodle looking for a patient, understanding home where he can continue to grow in confidence. Initially a little fearful of the world, Benji is making lovely progress with gentle encouragement, taking time to explore, sniff the grass and observe his surroundings at his own pace. He has even enjoyed quietly exploring the lunchroom! Benji will benefit from a calm, predictable environment with someone home often to provide companionship, ongoing positive-reinforcement training and enrichment. A tolerant small canine companion could be a wonderful role model, helping him feel safe and secure. He will need a home with children aged 14 and over, and to sleep indoors at night with access to both indoor and outdoor spaces during the day. Benji can be wiggly when handled, so gentle, patient care is important. Regular grooming with a fear-free, positive-reinforcement groomer will help him feel comfortable. With time, kindness and understanding, Benji has every chance to blossom into a much more confident little companion
