Meet Tucker – A Fair Dinkum True Blue Aussie! Tuckers is a true-blue Australian Cattle Dog with plenty of personality, smarts and that classic heeler loyalty. He's looking for a special home with adults who have previous experience owning and understanding the Australian Cattle Dog breed. Let's be clear from the start: Tucker is looking for an adults-only home, with absolutely no children under 16 years of age. Tucker enjoys the company of friendly dogs, but he can be a little protective of his home and family. When workmen or visitors come to the house, he is often happiest being comfortably settled away from the activity rather than expected to greet everyone. With a calm and respectful introduction, however, he can make new friends in his own time. Out on walks, his handsome looks often attract people wanting to stop and say G'day, but Tucker would much rather enjoy the company of his own people than meet every stranger along the way. He's a loyal boy who likes keeping his special circle close. He's previously lived with cats, although he does enjoy chasing them, so a cat-free home would be best. Now for the fun stuff! Tucker is a clever boy who knows an impressive collection of tricks, including sit, high five, play dead, come to heel, bed, woof and even sneeze on cue! He loves a good game of tug and enjoys paddling in the water, although swimming isn't his thing. Nail trims can be a sensitive subject, so his new family will need patience and understanding. If heading to a rural property, secure fencing is essential, along with proper separation from livestock. Tuckers needs an experienced, confident and understanding home that appreciates everything that makes a heeler special.
