About Cheddar

Adoption Pending Meet Cheddar – Our Gentle Golden Oldie At almost 15 years young, Cheddar is a handsome blonde Labrador who is looking for a special person to help him enjoy his golden years surrounded by love, comfort and security. Cheddar arrived at the pound as an unclaimed stray, and now this lovely old boy deserves nothing more than a peaceful place to call home. He is looking for a quiet, stable environment where he can settle in, feel safe and spend his days doing what senior Labradors do best – snoozing the day away! Cheddar is a big boy, and at his age, he needs a little extra help getting in and out of vehicles. His exercise requirements are wonderfully simple: a gentle five-minute plod to stretch his legs, have a sniff around and enjoy the world before heading back to his favourite spot for another well-earned nap. We understand that welcoming a senior dog comes with some extra considerations, which is why SCARS is committed to supporting Cheddar and his future family. We will cover the cost of his ongoing senior care and continue to see him in our vet room to help ensure his needs are met as he enjoys his retirement. Cheddar isn't asking for adventures or long walks. He just needs someone with a kind heart who can offer him a soft place to land, a predictable routine and the love he deserves. Cheddar is currently in foster care, and meet-and-greets are available by appointment only.
