 Meet Ruby   A Little Country Girl Looking for Her Forever Family  Ruby is a gorgeous 3-year-old Border Collie with the sweetest heart and a soul full of forgiveness. ❤️ Despite spending much of her life on a tether, Ruby has never lost her love for people or her enthusiasm for life. She is proof that even after a difficult start, a dog can still choose joy. ✨  Ruby is a true country girl at heart . Her dream life isn't sitting in a suburban backyard with nothing to do. Instead, she dreams of:  Riding in the ute  Running alongside the quad bike  Exploring acreage with her people ☀️ Being involved in everyday family adventures  Following her favourite humans everywhere as their loyal little shadow Ruby is wonderfully small and compact , making her the perfect size for tagging along wherever life takes you.  易⚡ Smart, Busy & Ready to Learn Like any clever Border Collie, Ruby thrives when her brain and body are kept busy. She absolutely loves:  Learning new things ‍♀️ Being active  Splashing in water  Having a job to do ❤️ Spending time with her people She is a bright little genius who loves being included and truly blossoms when she feels part of the family. When she's had a day full of activity, Ruby settles beautifully and has not been destructive in her pen.   Ruby & Other Dogs Ruby has successfully passed her dog assessments and can enjoy canine company.  She can become very excited and occasionally frustrated around other dogs, especially when she can't get to them. With patient handling and gradual introductions, Ruby can make wonderful dog friends.  In fact, she already has a best mate in the shape of a playful male Kelpie. Together they spend hours: ‍♂️ Racing around  Enjoying rambunctious play sessions  Splashing in the pool ☀️ Living their best country dog lives Ruby may benefit from a friendly, sociable canine companion in her new home.  ‍‍‍ Home Requirements Because Ruby spent so much of her early life isolated on a tether, she developed a habit of air-snapping when frustrated or overstimulated . This behaviour is not directed at people, but rather her way of expressing excitement or frustration when lots is happening around her and she feels left out.
