Benjamin – A Big, Lovable Young Pup Meet Ben, a lovable young boy who has sadly been surrendered due to a housing crisis. At just 1 year old, Ben is still very much a puppy and has plenty of growing, learning, and maturing ahead of him. Despite his size, he is youthful, enthusiastic and full of that fun-loving puppy energy! Ben has a lovely temperament and has quickly won over our volunteers with his affectionate nature. He enjoys playtime, attention and plenty of cuddles, and he loves spending time with his people. Like all young dogs, he does require consistency, boundaries and structure. Ben will be best suited to a family with older teens who are dog-savvy and understand that young, large dogs can be a handful while they learn their manners. His new family will need to be committed to continuing his training, with dog school a must to help Ben become the best version of himself. We are looking for experienced big-dog owners who understand the importance of providing structure, consistency, exercise, and plenty of mental stimulation. Ben will thrive with owners who are prepared to put the time into guiding him through his teenage years. Ben has not been tested around cats or livestock, so his suitability for homes with either will need to be carefully considered.
