Why Chloe is being rehomed
This is a very difficult decision for our family, and certainly not one we ever expected to make. Chloe spent her early years very happily living in our family home in North Lakes. However, when we relocated to the Gold Coast, our two adult daughters were determined to take Chloe with them to their new apartment. Unfortunately, Chloe has turned out to be rather more adventurous than any of us anticipated! Despite living on the 11th floor, she has discovered that she can climb over the balcony and explore the narrow external ledges of the building. Much to our horror, neighbours several apartments away have spotted her outside their balconies! We subsequently brought Chloe to our townhouse, hoping this would solve the problem. Unfortunately, she quickly discovered how to access our rooftop terrace through the doggy door and has taken to exploring the neighbouring rooftops as well! As much as we love Chloe, we simply cannot provide an environment where she can safely satisfy her adventurous curiosity without putting herself at risk. We would love to find Chloe a caring, patient family who can offer her a safe and secure home, preferably with a secure outdoor area where she can enjoy exploring without the dangers of high balconies or rooftops. She would be a wonderful companion for someone who appreciates a cat who is happy to be independent during the day but loves affection and companionship in the evenings. Chloe has not had much experience with very young children, as our daughters were teenagers when we adopted her, but she has always been affectionate and gentle with our family. Above all, we want Chloe to find a loving, permanent home where she can be happy, safe and cherished. She really is a lovely girl, and we will miss her terribly. ❤️
