About Hamish

Meet Hamish - Our handsome boy that has been through more than any dog should, yet he still has so much love to give. When this beautiful Wolfhound first arrived in our care, he was nervous and unsure. With patience, kindness and reassurance, he has quickly begun to come out of his shell, showing us the incredibly affectionate boy beneath those initial worries. Hamish loves people and other dogs, and watching him grow comfortable enough to seek out love has been especially heartwarming. During his desexing surgery, our vet made a heartbreaking discovery: two bullets lodged in his body. We don't know the circumstances or everything Hamish has endured, but knowing he had been carrying them is difficult to think about. Thankfully, both bullets have now been removed, and he is doing well. Now, Hamish deserves the comfort of a home where he can feel safe, cherished and truly part of a family. A place where gentle hands offer affection, familiar faces greet him each day, and he can settle into simply being a loved dog.
