Odin

About Odin

Meet Odin, our handsome little Dachshund whose next chapter is looking so much brighter than the one he left behind. Odin came into our care in very poor condition, with a severely ulcerated eye. The ulcer was so extensive that our vet initially couldn't see the full damage beneath it. Hoping there might still be a chance to save his eye, we began treating it with medication, giving this sweet boy every opportunity to heal. Sadly, as the ulcer improved and our vet could examine his eye more clearly, the extent of the damage became apparent. Previous trauma had already left Odin blind in that eye, and it had begun to collapse. His eye couldn't be saved, and the kindest choice was to remove it, helping him feel comfortable and preventing further pain and complications. Now, our little Odin is thriving. With that painful chapter behind him, he is a handsome, loving boy with so much affection to share. His name feels especially fitting: like his namesake, the one-eyed god Odin from Norse mythology, this little fellow has a memorable face and a story to tell. After everything he has been through, Odin deserves a home filled with gentle care, cosy places to rest and people who treasure him. He may have only one eye, but he has a whole heart ready to give to his forever family.
