Meet Daisy... Daisy came into our care at just five weeks old after experiencing abuse, and it is difficult to imagine what more such a tiny puppy could have been through so early in life. While she has some minor residual behaviors as a result of her past, nothing we have seen would prevent her from continuing to grow and flourish in the right home. What has stood out most during Daisy's time with SPCA is just how affectionate and loving she is. She will happily seek out a lap to curl up in or a kind hand to give her some well deserved attention. There is a softness to Daisy that shines, despite the difficult start she was given. She is also a very clever little girl. With a good food and praise drive, she has already mastered the basics such as "sit" and "wait". Tell Daisy she is your "best good girl" and she will proudly demonstrate her beautiful sit to prove you right! She has met some of our other centre dogs and puppies and absolutely loves being part of the social scene. She is playful, eager to please and has recently discovered that fetch is possibly the best game ever invented. Daisy has mid range energy levels and we expect she will adapt well to a wide variety of homes. What she deserves most, however, is someone who understands that she had a very difficult beginning and is prepared to give her the security and love she needs to continue moving forward. We can't change Daisy's past, but we can make sure her future is everything she deserves, and more.
