My litter and I came to SPCA after having a bit of a rough start to life, not experiencing much of the world. We're gaining confidence day by day, and now are looking for loving forever homes! Meet Serena, a gorgeous energetic girl with a gentle soul and so much potential! Named after the legendary Serena Williams, this lovely girl is ready to take on her next big adventure: finding a patient, understanding home where she can build confidence and learn that the world isn't such a scary place. Serena is a timid girl who will need time, patience, and plenty of positive experiences to come out of her shell. She's looking for an experienced home that understands shy dogs and is happy to let her settle in at her own pace, without rushing her or expecting too much too soon. With kindness, consistency, and a predictable routine, Serena can begin to discover just how wonderful life can be! Underneath that shy exterior is an active girl who would love opportunities to play, explore, and keep her clever brain busy once she's feeling more comfortable. Her ideal home will balance fun and enrichment with plenty of downtime, giving her the space to build confidence without feeling overwhelmed. A confident, friendly dog already in the home would be a huge bonus for Serena! Having a canine companion to show her the ropes and help her navigate everyday life could make all the difference as she continues learning appropriate social skills and gains confidence in her surroundings. She's still learning to share her toys with other dogs, so slow, managed introductions and supervision during play are key. Serena is looking for a quiet, adult-oriented home with no young children, and people who have plenty of experience with dogs, particularly those who are nervous or undersocialised. She'll need ongoing, gentle socialisation and a family who understands that progress takes time. An active lifestyle will be important, but she'll need adventures introduced gradually as her confidence grows. If you have a big heart, plenty of patience, and the experience to help a shy girl blossom, Serena could be your next superstar. Give her the time and support she needs, and you may just get to see her confidence serve its way to victory! 🎾💕
