Roy is a big handsome huntaway boy, he has a lovely calm nature, he even likes cats! Roy really likes to lean on you and get plenty of pats. Roy is looking for a new human family with enough space for his big body and his big deep voice, ideally a lifestyle block for him to strut around on and maybe a nice porch to lie on in the sun. Roy is in his senior years but is in good health, he has just been castrated and had a couple of 'old man lumps' removed -hence the Frankenstein look on his forehead at the moment. Roy has been gentle and friendly with the other dogs he has met here, the lady dogs are especially fond of him. Roy came into the care of the SPCA from a less-than-ideal situation, he was quite underweight and in need of medical care, yet despite everything he has gone through he has shown us nothing but tolerance and happiness. Everyone in the SPCA Nelson Centre thinks that Roy is an absolute champion of a dog and we look forward to matching him with an ideal home.
