If you're looking for a new best friend who thinks humans are the greatest thing since sliced bread, Jimmy might just be your guy! ❤️ Jimmy is an absolutely lovely young boy with a BIG love for people. Whether it's cuddles, attention or simply being involved in whatever you're doing, he's happiest by your side! He's also surprisingly lovely on lead walks, checking in with his humans and taking in all the new things around him. As a young Pointer cross, Jimmy has plenty of energy and enthusiasm for life! He's still a bit of a blank canvas when it comes to training, so he'll need a family willing to teach him the ropes. Positive reward-based training, plenty of enrichment and regular exercise will help him grow into a well-mannered gentleman. Jimmy has spent a few nights in foster, where he slept well in his crate once settled, although he did need someone nearby to help him get comfortable. He can also struggle with being left alone during the day, so he'll need a family prepared to work patiently on building his confidence with this. Jimmy could potentially live with another dog, provided introductions go well. He may also suit a home with older, dog-savvy children who are comfortable around an energetic youngster, with parental supervision. He's briefly seen cats and showed plenty of interest, so any introductions would need to be slow and carefully managed. You might notice Jimmy is sporting a slightly shorter tail! Unfortunately, his enthusiasm resulted in a case of happy tail, and he's currently recovering from an amputation. His new family will need to follow any ongoing care instructions while he heals. Jimmy is a people-loving sweetheart with so much love to give. He's looking for a family who will embrace his energy, help him learn and give him all the affection his big heart can handle.
