About Kratos

Kratos is a stunning 4yr old American Staffy who is back in our care due to no fault of his own. When he was initially in our care, he was an absolute dream & we used him for all of our dog assessments, play dates & training. He was in a home for 6 months & returned due to incidents with other dogs, that none of them were his fault. Since coming back to the rescue his behaviour in many areas has taken a massive decline. We have no idea what happened around his socialising & training while in the home, but to say we are flummoxed by his training regression is an understatement. He is lucky enough to have gone off to a foster home so we can get on top of his training needs. He is in foster care as an only dog, but there is a friendly cat in the house that he has settled in with extremely well. There is still some management in place, but they are becoming mates! He is doing pack walks with other dogs to get past the bad experiences that he had & could easily live with a laid back dog, but at this stage does need his dog introductions done in a very managed way. He is overstimulated on walks in busy, residential areas, which was never a problem in the past, so we are helping him learn how to decompress on these walks, but they are a work in progress. We know what this wonderful boy is capable of & are helping get back to that easy dog, but he will need an owner that can continue with this training to keep the positive progress up Kratos is desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, registered & like all our dogs is destined to be family dog that sleeps indoors with the rest of the family.
