Meet Yaka - An Independent Girl Looking for Love Yaka had a rough start in life, so learning to trust takes a little time. But underneath her initial shyness is a sweet girl who absolutely loves a good smooch once she feels safe. During the day, she enjoys a quiet snooze in her favourite hiding spot, but at dawn and dusk, her playful side comes alive with toy-chasing and zoomies! She sometimes sleeps on her foster carer's bed at night and will jump up in the mornings to request cuddles. She usually asks for pats by rolling around next to you and happily accepts pats and being brushed, while showing off her gorgeous white and tabby markings and cute black toe beans. Yaka can still be startled by sudden movements and would generally prefer not to be picked up, although she's making lovely progress with this. She prefers to interact on her own terms and will do best with someone who understands her need for a little patience and respects her boundaries while she continues to build confidence. She will thrive best in a patient, adult-only environment where she can blossom at her own pace.
