About Willow

Willow is a lovely mum cat who has made wonderful progress during her time in foster care. At first, she was very frightened, spending most of her time hiding, unsure of her new surroundings and unfamiliar noises. With time, space, patience and a gentle approach, Willow gradually began to feel more comfortable and develop trust. She started accepting gentle pats and, towards the end of her stay, even began following her foster mum around the house. During her time in foster care, Willow was a devoted and protective mum to her three kittens. She also shared her foster home with two indoor rabbits. Although she preferred to keep her distance from them, she never deliberately tried to harm them and occasionally allowed the rabbits to approach and sniff her. Willow is still finding her confidence, and we believe there is a lovely personality waiting to emerge as she settles into a stable home where she can feel safe and secure. Having spent much of her time in foster care looking after her kittens, she now deserves the opportunity to enjoy life at her own pace. Her ideal family would be someone patient and understanding, willing to give her the time and space she needs to build trust without expecting immediate affection day. At our Palmerston North Centre, no appointment is needed for feline adoptions. You're welcome to visit during opening hours to meet the cats available for adoption and find the right match for your home. Please note: As bookings are not required, submitting an application does not reserve or hold a specific cat. This means the cat you're interested in may be adopted before your visit. We recommend coming in as soon as you can if you've found a feline you're keen on!
