About Maleficent

MEET MALEFICENT! SHE IS LOOKING FOR A FOREVER HOME OR A FOSTER HOME, POTENTIALLY WITH VIEW TO ADOPT Maleficent and her kittens were spotted on a construction site three years ago. Her exact age is unknown, but we think she’s around 4–5 years old. Her kittens tamed up beautifully and found homes quickly. Maleficent, on the other hand, hated us. She’d hiss and lash out, so we gave her a wide berth, but we kept talking to her and offering treats. We never pushed her or expected her to change. Then, after a good couple of years, she slowly started to soften. Now she can’t get enough attention. If you walk past while she’s on the cat stand, expect a paw on your arm and a look that says, “Excuse me, you forgot to pat me.” Her claws can catch you sometimes (never aggressively), but we think she’ll ask less insistently once she’s getting plenty of one-on-one love in a home. Give her a chin rub and she’ll thank you by licking your hand. It’s the bath you didn’t know you needed. She’s a pretty, fluffy girl, and her photo doesn’t do her justice! She gets on well with other cats, and she and Jasmin have taken similar journeys. If you’re keen to take on two, check out Jasmin’s post too. Maleficent has been living in a shelter rather than a home, so we’d love to try a foster-to-adopt arrangement. She trusts us now, but a new home will feel scary at first and she may take a step or two backwards before she settles. Time and patience are a must. Ideal home: Indoor only, or indoor with a catio Quiet household No small children Patience while she settles in If things don’t work out, we’ll always take her back. She’s well and truly stolen a piece of our hearts.
